We need you!
ProjectFit is a research app for myAir users who are treating their sleep apnea.
Our objective is to improve future sleep apnea masks across a wide range of face shapes and sizes.
By understanding more about you, your equipment and your experience on therapy we will be able to improve our future products and the experience of CPAP therapy.
Your responses will be fed back to our design teams allowing them to improve our masks for you and future CPAP users.
Note: this app will only work on the iPhone X models and above (excluding iPhone SE models).
How it works
ProjectFit uses the 3D-depth camera in your iPhone to capture multiple points on your face. These points are then stitched together to create a 3D mesh of your face.
For a successful scan, follow the points below:
- Ensure you turn your head smoothly until it vibrates in both directions.
- Try not to move your head up or down or back or forward whilst scanning.
- Ensure you are in a well lit area and away from any strong light sources. An uncluttered background may help.

FAQ's
All data generated in the ProjectFit app is sent securely to a Resmed operated Amazon Web Services account and then transferred to Resmed’s servers where it will be securely stored and only accessed by select members of our product teams.
ProjectFit is not designed to tell you what mask size is best for you or give you feedback on the mask size you currently have. We will use your scan and answers in order to help us design better masks for the future.
The scanning process may not function correctly in all lighting conditions, or all circumstances. It uses emerging technology and we thank you for your understanding, should it not be working for you. Due to the nature of the technology your phone will need to have at least 20% battery life in order to process the scan.
The success of ProjectFit depends on accurate mask model and size data which is why we need you to be certain you’re entering the correct information. Feel free to come back to the app at a later time if you don’t have your mask with you at the time.
Unfortunately we can’t offer a copy of your 3D scan at this time.
The video file you may save and share is not considered biometric data and does not contain the higher resolution detail that exists in the scan file that will be sent to Resmed.
To exercise your data rights, submit a consumer request to us by either:
