Device warranty information

Resmed offers warranties for CPAP, bilevel and ventilation devices, including external power supply units when purchased as a complete system. Devices have a two-year warranty in the United States. Please visit our warranty page for more information and coverage details.

Resmed RMA process

We strive to maintain the lowest turnaround time possible during the return merchandise authorization (RMA) process. Once a device is received, it is evaluated by an experienced technician, repaired and returned as soon as possible.

Our estimated turnaround time for repairs and returns is 10 to 14 days, which includes shipping time. We have also modified the routing process from the Resmed Online Store (ROS) to send devices to an alternate service center in the case of unavailability or overwhelming demand in the primary location.

Resmed Technical Care Team

We encourage customers to troubleshoot device issues with the Resmed Technical Care Team. In some cases, devices can be evaluated and issues resolved over the phone, which may speed up the RMA process. The Technical Care Team can be reached at 1 (800) 424-0737.

We also encourage our customers to continue to submit RMAs through ROS so we can better track, manage and resolve these issues.

Resmed currently services Air11™, Air10™, Astral™, Stellar™, Mobi™ and Activox™ devices.

Resmed Technical Services (TSV) offerings

TSV training
We offer service training and support to distributors interested in providing technical services for their customer base. Resmed service-trained technicians provide full service and support on sleep and ventilation products. Training is subject to authorization. When is a device repaired vs. replaced?

As of September 15, 2021, Resmed policy is to repair eligible devices sent in under warranty, and then send the repaired devices back to customers to return to their patients.

If our service team determines that a device is beyond repair, we will replace the device. Device repairs and replacements are subject to the coverages listed under Resmed’s Limited Warranty – see our warranty page for details.
